Custom Bra Manufacturing Guide: Fit, Cup Construction & Private Label

Choose the construction path before comparing styles: wireless contour, cut-and-sewn, molded cup, push-up, full-coverage or plus-size support. For each route, confirm cup volume, underband tension, strap placement, wire direction, size grading and intended market before sampling.

Our Shenzhen factory supports pattern development, material sourcing, sampling, bulk production and final inspection in one workflow. Buyers can review construction details before sampling and use an approved golden sample as the production benchmark.

Wireless contour and soft-support construction

For wireless contour bras, support is built through the underband, side panels, cup lining and strap geometry. Review stretch recovery and edge comfort on the intended fabric before locking a wireless contour bralette or soft-support bra specification.

Molded foam cups and removable pads

Molded cup bra development depends on cup shape, foam density, lining, bonding method and size grading. Removable-pad constructions also need secure pocket access, pad stability after washing and consistent cup placement across sizes.

Plus-size support and underband engineering

For plus size support bras and full-coverage styles, cup volume, wire shape, underband tension, wing height and strap width must be reviewed together. Approve a graded fit set before bulk so the support level remains consistent across the size curve.

01

Fit and size grading

Cup construction, underband tension, strap placement and size grading need to work together, especially when the range runs from XS to plus-size.

02

Materials and trims

Compare nylon/spandex, cotton-rich fabrics, lace, mesh, elastics and hardware against the target hand-feel, support level and landed cost.

03

Private-label finish

Labels, heat-transfer marks, hooks, sliders, care instructions and packaging should be confirmed before the golden sample is sealed.

Procurement FAQ

Questions buyers ask before placing an order

MOQ, sampling, customization and quality control are usually the first points procurement teams need to confirm. These answers are a starting point; final terms are confirmed for the exact style, material and order route.

Send your sourcing brief
Can you develop a bra from our tech pack or reference sample?

Yes. Our pattern team reviews cup construction, underband tension, straps and trims, then builds a first prototype for fit review. If you only have a physical sample, we can reverse-engineer the construction and develop a tech pack before sampling.

What is the MOQ for a custom bra order?

Ready-stock styles can start from 50 pcs. Custom styles typically start at 300 pcs per style and color, while custom fabric development usually starts at 500–1,000 pcs depending on the mill and color.

How do you keep bra fit consistent in bulk production?

We seal an approved golden sample, use it as the measurement and construction benchmark, check work in progress on the line and complete final inspection to AQL 2.5 inspection plan.

Do you provide molded foam cups or removable pads?

Yes. We can review molded cup, foam cup and removable-pad constructions against the target shape, fabric, bonding route and order quantity. Final feasibility is confirmed after the cup specification and sample construction are reviewed.
